This article will show you how to change the current map source, view and add more available map sources, and layer multiple map sources.

Change Current Map Source
1. Click the Layers icon.
2. This will display your Layers menu.
- Your currently selected map source layer is labeled with a green checkmark icon.
3. Selecting a different map layer will change which one is displayed on the main map.
Add Map Sources
You can access a number of map sources for free on gaiagps.com. Preview the entire map catalog here.
To add additional sources, follow these steps:
1) Click "Add Map Layers" from the Map Layers list.
2. A variety of ways to find maps will appear in the sidebar. You can search for a map by name, view suggested maps by activity, add Recommended maps, or browse the map catalog by category. Click the category that suits your needs to expand it and see the maps in that category.
3. Click the + to add a map source, or the - to remove it.
4. Click the name of a map source to display information about the map, including the legend.
Layering Multiple Map Sources
A Premium Membership will allow you to layer multiple map sources and adjust their transparency.
1. Click the Layers icon.
2. This will display your Layers menu:
- Your currently selected layers are in the "Visible Layer" section
- Additional available map layers are listed in the "Hidden Layers" section
3. Select the green checkmark next to a hidden layer to add it to the Visible Layers section and display it on the main map. You can do this with multiple layers. Unselect the checkmark to hide the layer.
4. Use the slider under each visible layer to adjust its transparency.
5. Select the "X" at any time to close the Layers menu.
