    Hi snc,

You bought Gaia GPS Classic and you don't need a standard Membership to use that. Here's a quick rundown of the New app vs Legacy apps: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009727388-Gaia-GPS-on-iOS-New-vs-Legacy-Apps

If you download the new Gaia GPS, you'll get a free 2 year Membership for purchasing Classic.

Let me know if you have any questions!

If I paid for the regular membership at 9.99 and now 48hrs later realize I should have purchased the premium membership can I do so at a reduced price? In essence I should have just paid the 29.99 in the first place. Thanks

I purchased the classic for $19.99 and then a week or two later realized that I needed the new version.  So I downloaded the new one and got a premium membership for $29.99.  I was wondering if there was any way I could get a refund for the classic, since I don't use or need the classic and have paid for the premium new version?

I renewed @ $39.99 via the Apple app store and I seem to have lost my printing map privileges.  Am I not a member?

    Hi BC,

You can use your Membership on all of your devices. Just login to your account from the app on each device.

I paid for continuing my subscription on August 12 in the play store.  When I login to the app it does not give me premium options.  When I login to the desktop site it says my subscription is not active.  I paid 39.99 for this app, what is going on?

i originally paid $19.99 for Gaia GPS. I now paid the $29 for premium and on Gaiagps.com it says I have a premium membership, but my app still show me having a regular membership. I thought maybe I had to login again so tried that. Get the msg that I can't log in for an unknown reason. The same email and password works on gaiagps.com. How do I get premium working on my app? Do I get any credit for my original $19.99 purchase.

Thank you for getting back to me. I feel a bit sheepish but I figured out the problem. I had turned cellular off to save data. When I turned it back on my app recognized that I was now a premium Member. So it is working correctly

I love this app and use it daily (literally!). Am a member until 2024.

I just purchased premium.  So it looks like I was charged $29.99 on top of the normal membership?  So no reduced price for those already members, correct? Just checking....

    Bryan,

Since you had a 5-year Membership, it looks like this is a special case. I'll see what I can do and email you with more information.

    Hi,

Love the app, use it on every outing and have recommended it to everyone I meet.

I am trying to understand what is the difference between Premium and Pro (both pages show identical features)? Also, my Gaia Pro from the app costs $44.25, but on the website is $39.99.

    Thanks

    Mykh,

It sounds like your phone is showing the price in CAD while the Gaia GPS website shows it in USD.

Premium is specific to the new Gaia GPS app on iOS.

Thanks Ashli. What's the difference between the iOS and Android versions? If they're the same I'd rather save the $10-15 and buy a new license on my iPad instead of renewing the Android one I have now.

    Mykh,

If you purchase a Premium Membership for iOS, it will work on your Android device, too.

When I launched Gaia this weekend I was informed by a popup that a new app is available. This is the first I hear about it, kind of weird since it’s been available since May. This summer, I subscribed to the pro membership via the app store and i paid 8.49 per month. It is still advertised at that rate and 54.99 per year in the app. How does this relate to the 2 tier memebership? I am confused...

Hi, I left a voice mail yesterday and followed up today with regards to the difference between Gaia Pro and your Premium membership.  Aslo I have some billing inquiries as it seems I have been double billed for membership (likely my fault) but would like it corrected.

If someone could get back to me I'd appreciate it.

Thx for the call.  Understand now that Gaia Premium replaced Gaia Pro.  And thx for straightening me out on billing, my fault there. Love your product.

Hi I purchased the classic version for android and now I have switched to an iPhone. Do I have to purchase the classic version of the app again to download it?

    Hi,

No - the Gaia GPS app is free to download on iOS. Look for the app icon with the gold border. We also offer a free two-year Membership if you purchased Gaia GPS Classic in the past. I'll send you an email to get that setup.

I too purchased the older bundle for 19.99 and now realize the premium is the way to go. Can I get a refund on the original 19.99?

    Thanks,

    Heath

    Hi Heath,

Yes, you could email support for a refund by clicking Submit a Request above. Alternatively, you can simply install the updated version and log in to your account. It will automatically give you 2 years for free ($20 value), since you already purchased the Classic version.
