If you are missing data in the app, it can be a good idea to check on gaiagps.com to see if the data is visible there.
If the data shows on the website, but not in the app, you may just need to sync your data: Backup Sync and Transfer Your Data.
If the data is not showing on the map, you can look for it in the Saved menu:
- View Saved Data (Tracks, Routes, Waypoints, Offline Maps, Folders, Areas, Hikes) in iOS
- View Saved Data (Tracks, Routes, Waypoints, Offline Maps, Folders, Areas, Hikes) in Android
If the data is in the Saved menu, but missing from the map, you can unhide your item(s) with these steps: Show or Hide Saved Data on the Map in the App.
If the data is not in the Saved menu in the app, check to see if it has been archived on the website. Sometimes archiving and then unarchiving saved data gets it syncing again: Archiving, Unarchiving, and Recovering Lost Data.
If the data is not in the Saved menu in the app, and it hasn't been archived, check to see if the data's Mobile Sync setting is toggled off on gaiagps.com. If your data is missing, and it was in a shared folder, check with the folder owner to see if they turned off Mobile Sync.
If you logged out or deleted the app without syncing, the data is likely not recoverable, but sometimes users are able to restore it from a backup:
