You can import WMS data into Gaia GPS using QGIS and Mapbox Studio. This article shows you how to import those map sources directly into Gaia GPS.

How to Import ArcGIS WMS Map Sources

First, convert the WMS (GeoJSON) file to a shapefile using QGIS:

1. In ArcGIS, select the WMS format and then use the Query
   feature to export a GeoJSON

2. Export as a GeoJSON with these settings using “Query (GET)”:

   1. WHERE: Sub_Zone >0

   2. Geometry Type: Envelope

   3. Out Fields: *

   4. Format: GeoJSON

3. Open the GeoJSON in QGIS and export as an ESRI Shapefile

   1. Open the file with QGIS

   2. Save each layer in QGIS as a shapefile by right-clicking on one of the layers and selecting "Save As"

   3. Name the shapefile:

   4. Compress the 5-6 files produced by QGIS (.shp, .qpj, .prj, .dbf, .cpg, & .shx) into a zipped folder.
