How to Import ArcGIS WMS Map Sources

You can import WMS data into Gaia GPS using a combination of QGIS and Mapbox Studio by following these steps:

First, covert the WMS (GeoJSON) file to a shapefile using QGIS:

1. In ArcGIS, select the WMS format and then use the Query
   feature to export a GeoJSON

2. Export as a GeoJSON with these settings using “Query (GET)“:

   1. WHERE: Sub_Zone >0

   2. Geometry Type: Envelope

   3. Out Fields: *

   4. Format: GeoJSON

3. Open GeoJSON in QGIS and export as an ESRI Shapefile

   1. Open the file with QGIS

   2. Save each layer in QGIS as a shapefile by right-clicking on one of the layers and selecting "Save As"

   3. Name the shapefile:

   4. Compress the 5-6 files produced by QGIS (.shp, .qpj, .prj, .dbf, .cpg, & .shx) into a zipped folder.
