Can I share my current location with someone? Can I use Gaia GPS as an emergency beacon?

Gaia GPS cannot share your current location when offline, nor is it possible to track someone's location "live" while they're using Gaia GPS.

Because of this, we do not recommend using Gaia GPS as an emergency device, as it will not function as a satellite messenger or beacon, and you cannot send out an SOS via the app.

If you are looking for this type of service, I would recommend looking into a device made specifically for rescue and communication such as the Garmin inReach or Spot Satellite Messenger.

1. Create a Waypoint of your current location.
2. Then share it.

Android:
