This article will show you how to crop the start and finish of a recorded track. This can be helpful if you've forgotten to stop recording after finishing a hike.
Crop a Track in the iOS app
1. Choose the track from your Saved list
2. On the track details page, tap the pencil icon and select 'crop track'
Note: Cropping a track cannot be undone. To preserve the original track in case of mistakes, you can duplicate the track.
3. To adjust the start and/or end positions of your track, slide right or left with the toggles on the bottom of the screen.
The graph that appears between the "Start" and "End" toggles shows your elevation change over distance.
4. Tap on the scissors icon to save your changes, or cancel to abort.
Note: If the "Crop Track" option is grayed out that means that the track recording is paused or in progress. You'll need to finish the track before the track can be cropped. Here's how: Record and Resume Tracks
