When using Gaia GPS, keep in mind that your device is communicating directly with satellites to find your location. Things like tree canopy, tall buildings and cliffs can cause interference with GPS signals. More on why GPS recording can inaccurate here: Why GPS Track Recording Can Be Inaccurate
