Creating routes

I have an end point in mind (can identify by coordinates) that is accessible only by traveling off-trail. I have read about creating a route, but it is not clear if this is to be done on my phone or on my computer. If on the computer, how do I export to my phone?

  You can create a route on either your phone or gaiagps.com on your computer and then sync your account to have the route appear on both. 

  • Follow these steps to create a route:  gaiagps.com, Android, or Apple
  • If the trail is not marked on Gaia Topo, follow the steps to create a route in straight line mode 
  • Then follow these steps to sync your account: Android or Apple
