If needed, you can duplicate a track or route at any time. This can be helpful in many situations, including if you are in the backcountry and need to edit your tracks or routes and want to avoid any accidental data loss. Duplicating your tracks and routes can create a quick backup.
Duplicate Tracks and Routes
- Choose a track or route from the Saved menu.
- Tap Edit (pencil icon)
- Tap on "Duplicate" to create a copy of the track.
- Name the new track when prompted, then tap save. A copy of the track will be available in the Saved menu.
- To edit the track, follow these instructions.
Note: When duplicating a track, pictures associated with that track will not duplicate

This is not the case in the updated version of the app... did you guys remove the ability to duplicate routes?
It is still possible to duplicate tracks and routes in the new version of Gaia GPS. From the track/route details page, tap the Action icon (3 dots) in the upper right corner and then select Duplicate.
I don't see three dots in the upper right corner of the track details page on either gaiagps.com or Android. Is this feature only available on iphones?

Yes, the option to duplicate a track is just available in the iOS version of Gaia GPS. Sorry for the confusion.
To duplicate a track on gaiagps.com or in the Android version of Gaia GPS, I recommend exporting the track as a GPX and then importing it back into your account.
