This article will show you how to report an issue or bug you are experiencing in the iOS app.
Report an Issue in the iOS App
If you are experiencing an issue with the app, or suspect you are experiencing a bug, you can report the issue in the iOS app by following these steps:
- In the Gaia GPS app, Tap Settings > Contact Support > Choose a topic
- Describe your issue with step-by-step instructions to reproduce the bug in the simplest possible way, starting with "open the app", etc.
- Tell us what device (iPhone/iPad) you are using.
- If you can, tell us what version of iOS you are on and what generation your device is.
- If the app crashes, please send your device logs by toggling on the Send device logs toggle.
- Upload any relevant screenshots.
- Tap Contact Support to submit your support request.
How to Take a Screenshot in the App
For certain issues, it may be helpful to send a screenshot.

Note that the screen will flash when you take the screenshot, and then you can find your screenshots on your device here:
- Photos > Under Media Types, tap Screenshots

Having so much trouble with Gaia. Sometimes it will not function, no matter what I do, including restarting the phone. Sometimes it won't recognize my paid subscription. Can someone help? Thank you.

I'm sorry you are having an issue with the app. It looks like you also sent an email, I went ahead and responded to your email with more information to help resolve this.
About half the time I use the App it shuts itself off right after I start a track or check an ongoing track and put the IPhone 5s back on standby. I've tried it many different ways, leave the application and go back to the main menu then standby, leave the application on and put in standby. It used to happen about 30% of the time and seems to be getting worse. It's very frustrating to do a two hour bike or ski then see that you were not recording.

I'm sorry you are having an issue recording a track. Can you send the activity logs for Gaia GPS so we can take a closer? Please open Gaia GPS > Settings > Other > Send Logs and one of us will get back with you shortly.

had trouble because some buttons were not showing, so I re-installed Gaia GPS. Restored purchases. But found out that the only overlay I use for hiking all the time OpenHikingMap HD was missing.
I can't figure out what's going on and more important how to het this map back again!

The OpenHikingMap HD layer has been renamed to Outdoors at the request of the publisher and I'm sorry for the confusion.
The Outdoors layer can be found within the Topo Maps section of the Layers menu.
