still unclear about new app

Sorry if these questions have been answered, but I'm still unclear how to deal with the new app.

Is there any reason to keep the old one? Will it be phased out eventually anyway? What are the benefits of getting a premium membership with the new app over the regular one? What is missing from the regular subscription? Can we print maps with the regular one? What maps are not included with the regular subscription? Layering maps is the same with both subscription types? Is there any benefit to renewing my membership now even though I have another few months before it expires? I think I read somewhere that if we order soon we get to keep introductory pricing forever. If this is the case, how long is that offer valid? Also does that offer apply to the 5 year subscription too?

    Is there any reason to keep the old one?

    If you like the new app and are satisfied that your data has transferred over, please feel free to delete the old app. The new one is meant to be a replacement, but we want people who prefer the old app to be able to continue using it.

    Will it be phased out eventually anyway?

    We’re going to continue to support Gaia GPS Classic and not do anything to shut it down. In addition, we’re planning to fix Gaia GPS Classic if it Apple breaks it when they release iOS11 this fall and iOS12 in fall 2018, which sometimes happens with new iOS releases.

    What are the benefits of getting a premium membership with the new app over the regular one?

    The Premium Membership gives you access to all maps from the Premium Maps and Overlays category, Hunting Zones, and also activates map layering. Here are the two Membership types explained.

    What is missing from the regular subscription?

    Only what I mentioned above.

    Can we print maps with the regular one?

    Yes, the standard Membership includes printing.

    What maps are not included with the regular subscription?

    Layering maps is the same with both subscription types?

    Map Layering requires a Premium Membership.

    Is there any benefit to renewing my membership now even though I have another few months before it expires?

    You have a GaiaPro subscription that is equivalent to the Premium Membership, and it expires on 8/14. If you don't renew, you also have a free 2 year standard Membership (for being an existing user, thanks!) that expires on 6/21/2019. If you're interested in continuing Premium, you can sign up here at the introductory price of $29.99/year and it will transfer your remaining free days.

    If this is the case, how long is that offer valid?

    Yep, intro pricing is still valid right now. I don't know when it will change. Buying now will lock you in at that price when it renews each year.

    Also does that offer apply to the 5 year subscription too?

    No, the 5-year subscription is a one-time charge and doesn't renew at any yearly rate. Also the 5 year deal is currently only available at the standard Membership level.
