Demarcate "official" trails from other types of paths?
There is a discussion in the OSM community to standardize ways to demarcate "official" trails (for instance paths actively managed by a conservation/nature organization) from other informal or "desire" paths. In your Gaia Topo layer, have you ever considered adding this type of thing to the render? I think it would help with clutter at higher zoom levels and make it easier to route find on lower zoom levels. Thanks.

We do kind-of do that.
You can find "official" trails using the Discover feature in the app or visiting the hike page on the web here: https://www.gaiagps.com/hike/
You can find non-official/user-created tracks using the Public Tracks overlay like this.
