Using Gaia with Suunto, Casio, or other non-Apple smart watches
AnsweredIs anyone using Gaia with any of the non-Apple outdoors smart watches? If so, what is your typical workflow and is there an advantage of one brand over the other specifically for interacting with Gaia?
My main use case is to see where I am on a hike I've planned in Gaia without having to pull out my phone in the rain (really I don't even need the GPS on the watch rather just bluetooth updates from the phone or something but I don't think any display track/location without this feature). Long battery time is key that's why I'm avoiding the Apple watch.

Hi there,
Thanks for posting. Currently, Gaia GPS is only supported on Apple Watch. There is an open feature request to add support for Android watches, feel free to follow this link and upvote this request:

What is the status on Gaia GPS on other non-Apple watches?

Any update on this? I've been looking at Coros, Suunto, and Garmin watches and would love it if there were some compatibility with my Gaia android app. Thanks!

Since Gaia GPS does not care about customer service for their non-apple customers, what are some suggested apps that will work on other platforms other than ones that Gaia GPS deems worthy? Suggestions?
