Hiking Maps for Italy

Are there any hiking maps for Italy that can be used with the Gaia GPS App?

  Yes, I recommend checking out the Gaia Topo or OpenHikingMap HD layers for hiking trails in Italy. Both of these layers can be accessed in the app (iOS/Android) or on gaiagps.com.

  Thanks, Nathan. How do you access the map layers for the specific regions in Italy I want using the App? Alternatively, how would I do it using gaiagps.com and then load the map layers into my iPhone?

  Most of the map layers in Gaia GPS include worldwide coverage, so on gaiagps.com or in the app pan and zoom the region of Italy you are interested. You can also enter a set of coordinates in the search bar to jump directly to the region in Italy.

  To create an offline map for the region, open the Gaia GPS app on your iPhone and either search for the location you want to download and/or pan the map to the area. Then follow the steps in this article: Download Maps for Offline Use.

  I've tried downloading maps for the Dolomites on my iPhone in Gaia.  I've tried Gaia Topo and some others. the map comes up on my phone, I zoom in and place the red rectangle where I want it, but I keep getting an error saying the area I've selected is not on the map...try another map.  I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.

  Please help!
