Wrong GPS position.

Hi I have been using Gaia for some months, since the past couple of weeks the app shows me a completely erroneous position in relation to the map. It's a disaster since exactly this week I needed this to work. The triangle. i.e. my position is shown on the map in the wrong spot, at the same time the track that I am recording is on the correct spot - i.e. let's say I'm recording something along a road that I can see. Adding new waypoints is off and they are marked where the cursor is but no where I am physically. We're talking about 500m-1km difference. Any solutions? I have not made any changes, am in the same region, same places, everything is the same as when the app was working fine a couple weeks ago. Please comment.

    I think I am having a similar problem The waypoints that I type in using the UTM are not matching waypoints that are already saved. For me and I used it for SAR, the waypoint using the UTM coordinate is on the other side of the creek probably 200 meters away.

    I'm sorry you are having issues with Gaia GPS. I can definitely help.

    Can you check these settings on your phone to enable Gaia GPS to locate you:

    1. Give the app permission to use your location services by going to your phone's settings> Applications > Gaia GPS > Permissions > toggle on Location.
    2. Then set your phone's location services for the app to "Device/GPS Only" Here is how to do that.
    3. Also, make sure your Battery Saver mode is set 'Off', this will affect your GPS signal.
