Existing downloaded maps not shaded when downloading new ones
I'm running Gaia GPS on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" using a Garmin GLO for a receiver. I'd like to carve out Oregon into 4 downloaded maps that I can store on a MicroSD card. I downloaded the first "quadrant" of Oregon, but when I try to download the next one, the existing map is not highlighted in red like it's supposed to be. I can't tell where the boarder of my existing map is.
Even when I highlight the map in the downloaded maps area and click 'show on map', it doesnt show up highlighted.

I'm sorry, but viewing previously downloaded map tiles when creating a new offline map is only a feature in the iOS version of Gaia GPS.
As a workaround, you can save a waypoint at the corners of your quadrants for Oregon, which you will be able to view while downloading an offline map. You can also overestimate the map download area for the other quadrants. Gaia GPS will recognize previously downloaded tiles.
When the “Show on Map” feature is selected in the app, the offline map is loaded in the main map of the app. You can view a copy of your offline map outlined in red by tapping the map thumbnail. -
Is there any plans to include the shading of downloaded areas for us Android users? I'm currently downloading multiple map sections of a specific location at the time and find it difficult to try to keep track of what's been downloaded and what hasn't. The size and shape of the sections I download are driven by the tile limits not by any sort of a grid so being able to see what's already downloaded would really help out. Working with waypoints, suggestion 1, doesn't work as I don't know the size of my download till I get on the download page and the red outline doesn't show up on my larger map when I try suggestion 2. Shading would just be easier, Thanks

I definitely agree, being about to see previously downloaded areas when downloading maps would be a very helpful feature in the Android app. We are currently working on a big under the hood improvement for the Android app. Once complete we will be able to work on adding features such as this.
