Download one map with many layers or separate map for each layer?
Relatively new GaiaGPS Premium user and I'm planning a 3 week camping loop out west from Delaware. I want to download maps for my IPad mini now so I don't have to worry about connection.
Is it any better one way or the other if I download maps with one layer per map download or have several layers when I do a download? I'm kinda thinking it doesn't really matter, since when I download a map that has several layers then look at My Maps section on gaiagps.com it looks like it actually saves each layer as a separate file, as I'll have the same number of like named files as I had layers in the downloaded map.
If it doesn't matter I think I'd like to download multiple maps with one layer each for an area. This way I could have Utah - Gaia Topo, Utah - Public Land, Utah - USFS 2016 etc. If I do it this way when I'm offline and using the maps will it load all maps it finds for the area I'm in so I can have all layers available and adjust the opacity of each layer, or will I only be able to use one layer at a time?
Hope that makes sense. Is there a better way?

Thanks for using Gaia GPS.
In the app, offline maps with multiple layers will be listed as a single offline map in the Saved menu, instead of an individual offline map for each layer.
So to use layered offline maps or downloading a map for each layer is really up to your personal preference. I typically opt for the downloading layered maps so I can quickly load all of the map layers I need for a trip in one step.
Whether you decided to download layered or individual offline maps, you will still be able to layer your offline maps and adjust the transparency of each map source while using Gaia GPS offline.0
