iOS - return to Gaia GPS causes map relocation

In iOS, sometimes when I'm viewing the map I need to switch to Trailforks or some other app to cross reference something. Then, when returning to Gaia, the map changes location to some important location, like my current location, or a placemark that I previously loaded.

Is there a way to change this behavior? I *never* want the map to change my location automatically on me.

  I have the same issue and it’s really annoying to be sent back to a previously searched location or saved waypoint.
