Not impressed with the new GaiaGPS Adventure Modes

I do not like the new Adventure Modes.  How do I turn them off and go back to what we used to have?

I live in subtropical Australia with no snow, I don't have a 4WD vehicle. So the OffRoad and Snow modes are completely useless to me. Also, Hike is completely useless to me as it shows a list of USA only maps and doesn't show Australian maps.  So I always use Custom. 

The adventure modes banner “Hike OffRoad Snow Custom” takes up a huge amount of screen space. How do I make it go away?  

The (…) button to access Overlays is really teeny tiny for a fat thumb, and is it not intuitive.

The now deprecated Map Packs was optional. Please make Adventure Modes optional too.  It isn't adding anything useful, its made Gaia more complex and bloated and confusing.
