Save and synch/backup issues

I have reached out to Gaia support regarding this, but issues have not been resolved so I thought I would cast a wider net.

Devices:  iPhone XS and MacBook Air

First question is about Gaia itself. I have done more than 300 hikes and saved each of them as tracks. When on my iPhone with Gaia open, I press "saved" at the bottom of the screen and it shows that 3 tracks were saved (one from 2019 and 2 from 2021) and 9 photos as waypoints.

But as mentioned, I have saved more than 300 hikes and I have more than 1700 photos in "saved to photo library."  So, where are the other 297+ hikes and all the other photos??

Next issue. When I return home from a hike, I "synch/backup" from my iPhone to my MacBook Air. I have found recently, however, that not all photos are synching (downloading) to Apple Photos. For example, on 5/23/21 I took 12 photos all of which show in gaia's "my photos." However, only 5 synched (downloaded to) Apple Photos.

Anybody have any thoughts on either of these issues?
