I feel that this would be a useful feature, as often in a wilderness area conditions change without any obvious signs ( specifically if you are hiking in a valley)

There must be a general discussion in the building at GAIA about how to add (1) current weather conditions -- smoke, AQI, wind, lightning etc. as well as (2) some sort of forecasting, as we've seen the addition recently of some of this in a primarily text format when tapping and marking a location (iOS - see attached).

Yet map overlays and info on the map is why we're all here.

I am guessing that it's an infrastructure item -- the GAIA system was built for less frequent updates to maps and data, and that modifying or rewriting the entire system and apps to pull up to the moment data layers must be a large and costly challenge.

Am hoping with the purchase by Outside and the proliferation of apps that show up to the moment data, which take eyeballs away from GAIA, will drive the timeline and prioritization of this type of feature set.
