I do this as well. I go state by state and download by mode. Then I give each mode a unique icon and I can turn on the mode and state file I want for a given area when I use the program. Works well. I wish GMRS was a bit more centralized and organized as I would like to do this for that as well but no such luck.

I just tried this for the 2m repeaters in Rhode Island. When I imported into Gaia (Android), they all show up with the same latitude...in Somalia. I tested out importing the same file into Google Earth and it worked; all the waypoints are where they should be in RI.

Any tips? Did I screw something up?

No clue here as the steps were pretty basic.  I was using KML perhaps you used GPX?  Both should work however.

Odd. Just confirmed the file extension was kml. Just tried it for another state and got the same problem. Looks like Gaia isn't translating something properly.
