Private Land Not Showing
Within the last three weeks, the private land layer isn't showing up on iphone app or web browser. Tried for my county and while out and about exploring other counties in Michigan. I've cleared caches and cookies. Is this happening anywhere else?

I can see the property on the web map - but not on android. Despite doing this according to other forum.
Sorry for the trouble with the Private Land layer. Could you try the steps below?
First, try zooming in and out to "pop" the private land layer into displaying.
If that doesn't work, can you try removing and re-adding the layer with these steps?- Remove the Private Land map source from the Layers menu. Layers menu > More layers > Feature/Weather Overlays > Private Land > Toggle off. This will delete this layer from any Saved maps, but you can download the maps again later.
- Force close Gaia GPS
- Wait 30 seconds
- Open Gaia GPS and re-add the map source. Layers menu > More layers > Feature/Weather Overlays > Private Land > toggle on.
- Any maps with this layer on your account will have been archived. Follow these steps to unarchive them: Archiving, Unarchiving, and Recovering Lost Data
If you're still having trouble after that, please contact support here:' -
i was having same problem and switched base map
- Basemaps are designed to function as a stand-alone map. They are not designed to be layered on top of each other. Technically, it is possible to layer basemaps by changing the opacity. Popular basemaps include: Gaia Topo, USGS Topo, NatGeo Trails Illustrated.
- Overlays are designed to be layered on top of a basemap. Generally, they contain data (roads, trails, boundaries) with a transparent background. Popular overlays include: MVUM (USFS), Private Land (US), Public Land (US), USFS Roads and Trails.
- Anything in the Feature/Weather Overlays or Hunting Overlays category is an overlay. Maps in all the other categories are basemaps.

I am having the same issue with private land layer and contour lines layer. I tried the steps above and nothing fixes it. The overlay appears for a short time then disappears. I can remove all the layers add them one at a time making sure the overlays are at the top of the list. they are there for a while then all of a sudden they disapper again. I even un-installed and re-installed the app still does the same thing. Mine is on Android. Galaxy S22 everything is up to date. did you find a fix for it? I contacted support and nothing has been resolved. I really like the app better than the other options but it is un-usable like this. I wish they would get it figured out.

I got it fixed eventually. I think this is what finally did it.. Many common issues, such as not being able to access your membership or download maps, can be resolved by making sure you are logged into the app properly. While you wait for us to get back to you, please check that you are logged in with these steps:
* Open Gaia GPS > Settings > your email will be listed under "Account".
* If not, tap Account > Log In > Have an account? Sign in.An update logged me out of my account. Following the directions above corrected it.

I also could not get the 'private land' overlay to show up on my iphone 13. The steps suggested by mark above solved the problem. First remove 'Private land' from the active layer list (if it is active) by tapping on the red circle with the white 'x' in the middle. Then:
1) Remove the Private Land map source from the Layers menu. Layers menu > Add map layers (at bottom) > Weather Overlays > Scroll down to 'Private land (US)', click on it and then click remove.
2) Force close Gaia GPS
3) wait 30 seconds
4) Open Gaia GPS and re-add the map source. Layers menu > Add map layers (at bottom) > Weather overlays, scroll down to private land > Private Land > Add

Private Land layer is not even visible on 2 iPads (mini 6 and Pro 2021) and an iPhone but is in an older iPad (2019). I deleted the app, shut down the device, restarted, and reinstalled on the 3 devices and nothing. The layer is just not available. I searched for the layer, I looked in the weather category, tried different base maps. Still, just not there to even delete. Any ideas? I have a help request from the app to tech support but would like answers. I like Gaia for the choices of downloadable maos as we are often out of cell range but am considering dropping my subscription to subscribe to Topo Maps + and Base map plus I subscribe to OnX off-road. I also don’t like that you can’t have different layers saved on different devices as too many layers across all devices uses too much hard drive space plus is often confusing with too mush info.
