Install app on Samsung SM-P900 tablet?

Is my Samsung SM-P900 (wifi) really not compatible with the GAIA app? Android version 5.0.2. It has embedded gps as far as the specs say. It's "old", but not that old. 2016 maybe.

Reason I want the app is I think that's how I can download maps for offline use. I'd like to take the tablet with me on trips and have the maps downloaded onto the device.
