cache not clearing

Hi

Gaia GPS 2022.4 on an iphone Xr here. Settings->Storage->Clear Cache proudly shows "cache cleared", but in reality it does nothing. Tile cache is about 1,2GB in my case.

I have tried to have the phone plugged, unplugged... give it some time. nothing. I have read some older threads about this, as a "bug". I recall that it used to work.

  I've got 18GB !   "Cleared"  it multiple times, over several days,  with no effect.

  No response from Support ticket in days.

  I've read I need to delete the app and reload it all???

  Anyone have any info on this issue?

  I have deleted the downloaded maps, cleared the cache from the app, done the Offload and Reinstall app from the Settings and the tile cache is still there.
