Print to Scale
Is there a way to specify a scale to print a route map with? I'm used to being able to print a map at a specified scale that matches my compass, but I can't find this option in Gaia.
For example, my compass has measurements on a scale of 1:24k, and on my previous mapping system, I could print out my maps to that same scale. It just makes using the compass and navigating so much better.

I want this feature.

a map without a recognizable scale is silly. please add standard scale values to printing feature.

Agreed - this is necessary for use in organisations using printed maps across program areas (and especially trying to teach navigation to students!)
There should also be a way to turn on/off the legend for map features, and overlay to a printed map.

A backup map is need in the event of phone failure (which I have experienced 2X times.) It is ridicules that I have to sit with a ruler and come up with a map scale for each map printed. Possibly you should drop the print feature if you cannot support it properly and just say Gaia is not 100% dependable because of the limitations of device and everyone that travel longer distances or to more remote locations such as overlanding should have a Garmin with Cal Topo paper backups. Yes, Gaia is more convenient to use then the others. However, on two occasions because of primary and secondary phone failures the touch screens not that reliable in inclement weather and in one case the batteries expanded and pushed the phones apart a high elevation (10,000 feet plus).

Has there been any progress on this?

Any updates? This is a necessary feature for map printing. Adding gridlines helps get an idea of scale but the ability to print at a specific scale would be much better.

Not being able to print to a specific scale is a dealbreaker. I will be looking at other options to create printable maps suitable for traditional land navigation.
