Hey there,
Sorry for the trouble with the Private Land layer. Could you try the steps below?
First, try zooming in and out to "pop" the private land layer into displaying.
If that doesn't work, can you try removing and re-adding the layer with these steps?- Remove the Private Land map source from the Layers menu. Layers menu > More layers > Feature/Weather Overlays > Private Land > Toggle off. This will delete this layer from any Saved maps, but you can download the maps again later.
- Force close Gaia GPS
- Wait 30 seconds
- Open Gaia GPS and re-add the map source. Layers menu > More layers > Feature/Weather Overlays > Private Land > toggle on.
- Any maps with this layer on your account will have been archived. Follow these steps to unarchive them: Archiving, Unarchiving, and Recovering Lost Data
If you're still having trouble after that, please contact support here: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/requests/newComment actions -
certain base maps do not allow layers.
- Basemaps are designed to function as a stand-alone map. They are not designed to be layered on top of each other. Technically, it is possible to layer basemaps by changing the opacity. Popular basemaps include: Gaia Topo, USGS Topo, NatGeo Trails Illustrated.
- Overlays are designed to be layered on top of a basemap. Generally, they contain data (roads, trails, boundaries) with a transparent background. Popular overlays include: MVUM (USFS), Private Land (US), Public Land (US), USFS Roads and Trails.
- Anything in the Feature/Weather Overlays or Hunting Overlays category is an overlay. Maps in all the other categories are basemaps.
