Route Slope Angle and aspect
Hello Gaia,
Is there any development/progress on route terrain features that show slope angle, aspect, and tree coverage like Caltopo has (basic/free edition), please see included picture. I find it incredibly useful, ultimately helps with making decisions (both desktop and app version of Caltopo) for backcountry skiing route creation. Saving as a PDF is handy too.
Thank you,
Brian

Ditto to Brian's post! In particular, the inability to display incline (slope angle) along a route or track is a real shortcoming in Gaia which I'm hoping can be addressed and prioritized for a future update. This could be done several ways such as in Brian's Caltopo example, but one great way would be to provide a switch to plot either vertical elevation or incline versus distance. Better yet, both elevation and incline could be on the same plot using two y-axis. I think the aforementioned methods would be a little better than showing a color bar. I do like the slope angle maps but they don't provide the needed functionality for route planning. I hoping I'm not missing something and this incline functionality is already there (I sometimes can't even find my car keys).
Thanks to the Gaia app developers!

Come on GaiaGPS, when are you going to incorporate this feature? This initial request was made 2 years ago! My goto app is CalTopo when backcountry skiing but don't like subscribing to 2 different apps. I probably won't renew my GaiaGPS premium membership unless you get this feature incorporated.
