saved maps on web are poor

I've learned that my saved maps aren't in my Saved Items on the website, which seems odd; it would be better if the web version worked more like the mobile version.

But what's really strange is when I navigate to the My Maps catalog list, and then click on the one I want to see, it opens a nearly unusable map. That green-shaded semi-opaque thing with weird lettering? I think Gaia should be able to do better, thanks.
