Is the Map Rotation toggle really gone? Why?

I have been using Gaia GPS for a few years on my Android and in the last month or so I noticed the map rotating when I pinch or drag it. I guess there is supposed to be a Map Rotation toggle under Map Controls or accessed by pressing the full-screen icon. I don't have the map rotation toggle. Why get rid of it? I don't want my maps to rotate.

  Thanks for the feedback. The Map Rotation toggle was removed when we added 3D maps. You can enable 3D maps under Settings > Experimental Features. I have passed along your feedback to the Engineers for consideration in future updates.
