Strange behavior in contour lines

Hi!

One week ago I was working with Gaia GPS as always and then suddenly these strange "features" appeared in the map (see attached image), only using Gaia Topo and Contour Lines layers (both in feet and meter variations). When zooming out, these features appear as a lot of balls of mud in many parts of the map.

I don't remember this happening before so I assume this is a new problem.

Anyone experiencing something like this and how can this be solved?
