Better road type accuracy in South America
Are there any external data sources that can be used for more accurate road types in South America? All the default layers that are available (even with premium) think every road in South America is a "minor road" or better (primary/secondary). This is decidedly NOT the case as many, if not most, are unmaintained and barely worthy of being called 2-track.
I understand South America is still kind of the wild west when it comes to accurate mapping but maybe there is an additional source somewhere that can be imported?

I don't know of any road map sources for South America, sorry about that.
If you know some of these roads yourself, you can help update Gaia Topo.
Gaia Topo, as well as several other sources in the app, is based on OpenStreetMap data, an Open-source and public mapping project.
You can actually contribute to OSM in order to update the map. Read more about this and find instructions here: Contribute to OpenStreetMap
If you decide to contribute any updates to OpenStreetMap, you'll see the changes in Gaia GPS in two to three weeks.
