app is very slow even with downloaded maps

app is unusably slow for screen refreshing and panning. performance doesn't improve with downloaded segments

  Hi Daniel,
  
  Sorry to hear you are having an issue with the app.
  
  One possible cause could be other memory intensive apps running in the background.
  
  Can you force close all applications, including Gaia GPS, with these steps?

  Also, having many sources active can sometimes cause issues such as slow rendering or data being hidden.
  
  Can you try making only one map source active and let me know if that helps?  Rather than moving the slider all the way to the left, you need to tap the red "x" to make the source inactive.

  Do you have a solution to this? I have the same problem with a fresh restart of android, Gaia (2022.10 (5705)) is the only app running with the default Gaia topo map as the only source with the area downloaded at high resolution.

  It takes 5+ seconds to render any zooming or panning to a new area.

  Phone is Pixel 5a

  Cleared cache and storage data as well and redownload maps.

  i never found a satisfactory solution. the only thing that helped was removing apps and clearing up internal memory
