Apple Watch Track not recorded
Using the latest Gaia App on Apple Watch OS 8.1 on an AppleWatch3. Gaia on the Apple Watch abandons the recording of tracks randomly, so it’s totally unreliable. Can happen after a half an hour or after 1 hour or later. Everything is lost. You need to fix this asap - you can’t advertise having a standalone WatchOs App with track recording when it’s not working at all.

Sorry for the trouble. This could potentially be caused by having too many other Watch apps open. Here's how to close other apps: https://www.lifewire.com/close-apps-on-apple-watch-4174552

Yeah, I’ve had the same problem, and all due respect, but it’s insulting to be told this is a result of applications running in the background. This is the same excuse You (Gaia) have been giving for two years. The simple fact is that the track recording feature does not work properly or in any way reliably. To advertise otherwise (as you do by not offering explicit warnings that track recording is an experimental feature) is simply dishonest. You all can do better. If not, time to look elsewhere in spending my subscription dollars and recommendations for outdoor apps to my readers.

Absolutely have had the same problem. I bought the latest and "greatest" Apple watch for other reasons too, but also so that I could use it with Gaia (the older one would no longer work with Gaia). BUT, not only did my track recording stop randomly both times I tried it, the battery was DRAINED after 8 hours--not very useful.
