Dreadful lag on web

Hi guys. Is there something wrong with my computer of is Gaia terribly laggy in Chrome? It got so bad that I switched to ViewRanger - but they're closing down soon. 

Is this a known problem or a Chrome compatibility issues.

  Hey y'all, sorry for the trouble with the website.
   
  We do usually recommend Chrome, but here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
   
  1. Update your browser to the latest version
  2. Clear the cache on your browser
  3. Enable hardware acceleration in Chrome: https://www.technipages.com/google-chrome-enable-disable-hardware-acceleration-mode

  Gaia is the slowest app I have to deal with on my iPhone 13 pro running with iOS 15.2. Gaia also loses track of the chosen lamp layers causing useless maps when offline.

  Firefox (95) user here...The map is quite slow for me, too. I'm "glad" to hear that it is slow in Chrome because most web developers tell Firefox users to "try Chrome" as a fix-all.

  Android app performance has been good for me. Caveat being that I only recently picked up Gaia GPS so I've only used the service/app a dozen times or so.

  It would be interesting to know if there are any troubleshooting steps that I could try.

  It is very "laggy" for me in Safari, Chrome, and the app on both my IPAD and my iphone 11 pro. Disappointing since I am paying for the yearlong subscription.
