Apple CarPlay Question on Tracks

I often import .gpx files into Gaia GPS. Any imported file becomes a track within the Gaia GPS application, cannot be edited and cannot be converted to a route.

Will CarPlay accurately display a Gaia GPS track? The FAQ in this forum only contemplates Driveable Routes (not sure the terminology between Routes and tracks is used interchangeably?)

  • Routes are pre-defined and created manually using the website or the app.
  • Tracks are breadcrumb trails, made up of GPS points collected by your device while physically following a trail.

  
  As long as the tracks are visible on your phone, they will be visible on Carplay.  However, you can only get turn-by-turn directions for routes, not tracks.
