Extra Layers Appear

I removed all my maps from Gaiagps.com.  I then uninstalled from my android tablet.  I installed and started to add map layers on tablet.  I add about 10 layers then all of a sudden a whole bunch load up including Canada.  I am not able to move them out of the active layers without pressing on the layer then deleting one at a time.  Has anyone else had this problem?
