How to calculate distance between waypoints

How can I calculate distance between my waypoints? Whenever I try to do distance, it always does it to my current location. Thats not what I want. I want to be able to see the distance between any two arbitrary locations. Thx

  Hi long.rob and Anton,
  
  When creating a route, the app places the first point in the center of the map. To measure the distance between two arbitrary locations, you can tap on the route points and then drag them to the appropriate locations:

  Thanks Jay for your reply. I tried it out and see it works fine, however for my needs I need the measurements to show relative bearing between both points as well as distance. With this in mind, is it possible to turn off the relationship to my current position? This is of no use (or even a nuisance when planning) as I am usually no where near the routes I plan (often not even in the same country, i.e. seeing a point is perhaps 13,550 miles away)
