Real distance to destination, not "as the crow flies"
Hello,
I don't know what I'm missing but here's something that bugs me deeply.
So, I'm on a trail and I have a track recorded already and the offline maps downloaded.
Why can't i just answer the simple question "Are we there yet?" :)
If I click the end of the track I get the distance "as the crow flies" ( a straight line), not the real distance on the terrain, (snap-to-trail distance).
Does this only work with routes but not tracks?
Thanks,
Nelu

Hi Nelu,
To measure the distance to the end of a track, you must create a route from your current location to the end of the track. As of version 2021.8 of the iOS app, you can make this route snap to trail while offline as long as you have downloaded the offline routing data for the area.
We don't have plans for anything like this a "distance left along route" feature, but I do have an open request for this feature and I've added your vote.
