Apple Watch interface

Please bring back the option for the old Apple Watch functionality. That is, start recording on the iPhone and then during the hike be able to see the current trip data, distance, elevation gain, etc. on the watch. I have no interest in using the watch as a stand alone and want to be able to view map details on my phone but get the summary info from the watch. Thanks for considering!
