Refund for unacceptable terms of use - Does the Gaia GPS staff only answer questions they like?
Since the 3rd of July when I received notice of Outside Interactive's despicable new terms of service for Gaia GPS, which basically state (paraphrasing), "We'll do whatever we want with you and your data", I have:
- two unanswered emails
- several unanswered and unacknowledged community post comments
- seven unusable months of an annual subscription, because someone thinks it's acceptable to tell a customer (paraphrasing), "If you don't like the new terms of use, you can stop using the service." and then refuse to communicate openly with customers.
I paid for a year subscription under the old terms. You can allow me to operate under the old terms for the remainder of my subscription, or you can give me a pro-rated refund of the portion of the subscription I will not be able to use under your new, unacceptable terms of use. By your new terms of use you are denying me use of a service I paid for.
If you had a shred of customer service mentality or a conscience you would at least have the courtesy to acknowledge a paying customer. Thanks for the Zendesk response stating "We have received your message and will get back to you shortly, usually within one business day." It's now been 19 calendar days since the first one.
