Slow tracking while offline.
I am using my iPhone 8 offline (no data plan) and have DL'd the map of the area I'm riding in (dirt biking). But the arrow is having a hard time keeping up with my movements. I am not riding that fast, about 10-20 miles per hour (sometimes on paved sections I get up to 40 or so MPH.) I'll be riding along and the arrow is just sitting still on the map, then it jumps forward to where I am. it makes it impossible to know where to turn. Anyone know why It's doing this? When I had a cell service hooked up to this same phone and i had a cell signal it worked flawlessly, but now that I'm offline it's terrible.

Thanks for using Gaia GPS and writing in about this.
I have an open bug report for this issue and we’re continuing to track it in our system, but unfortunately, don’t have an ETA on when you can expect a fix.
In the meantime, please make sure that your location permissions are set to "Always" by following these steps:
Gaia GPS isn't locating me. How do I adjust iOS location services?
Also, closing any other apps running in the background while using Gaia GPS may help.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We'll email you as soon as we have a fix.
