Download as track rather than course (garmin)
AnsweredI want to use gaiagps on my iphone to make tracks and then upload them with the Garmin Explore App to my garmin device. However, if uploaded (gpx), the device treats it as a route (and thus making a track itself between waypoints), rather than a track. I uploaded the gpx somewhere else and downloaded it explicitly as track, and then it works fine. Is it possible to download it directly from gaiagps as track?

Hi @meinradsamuel,
In Gaia GPS, a track is a GPS recording created when you hike with your phone. A route is a pre-defined line created manually using the website or the app.
It is not possible to specify that a GPX file should be exported as a track. Tracks are exported as tracks and routes are exported as routes.
You will need to use third-party software such as GPS Babel to convert your routes to tracks.
