Import from mapserv origins
Not plannedClackamas County, Oregon has a GIS system that appears to use mapserv. I don't see any XML definitions accessible anywhere, and it's not obvious how I could go about adding these various maps as layers. Am I missing something or is this indeed a new feature request?
Main page: http://cmap.clackamas.us/maps/cmap?
Example URL for a tile:
The model of {x},{y},{z} doesn't seem to apply here. They provide bounding box as part of the URL path, and I don't even know what the values are. Any hints as to how I could import this type of layer?

Hey jtodd,
It looks like the Clackamas County map is in a format (WMS) that cannot be used as a custom source at Gaia GPS.
If you are able to contact their GIS office and get the data in a different format such as GPX, KML, or a shapefile, it can be uploaded by following these steps: -
Thanks for the summary. Sorry to hear that mapserv data isn't part of the import plan - I've used mapserv quite a bit in the past, and it seems pretty close to what is needed except that the bounding box concept isn't understood by Gaia. It doesn't seem terribly difficult to translate, and if I cared enough I'd build a small python webhook that performed the translations and passed the images through as a proxy shim. But I'm not that motivated right now due to other work issues. The County does good work with their GIS but has zero interest in thinking "outside the box" or delivering their maps in any sort of externally-downloadable format, so that's a non-starter based on past conversations, sadly.
