Change the date on a track?
AnsweredSo I inadvertently deleted a track by deleting a folder (via the website). I couldn't figure out how to get the track out of the folder and back to the general list, so I hoped by deleting the folder it would accomplish that. Nope. It deleted the enclosed track along with the folder. Fortunately I was able to duplicate the track on my iPhone before it disappeared. So now that track is in my general list and not in a folder. BUT it shows today's date vs the original date. Is there any way I can change that?
Also for future reference, is there a way to move a track out of a folder without moving it into another folder? I couldn't find a way.

Hey @CDubber,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the Date Created for a track in the app.
Importing a track into the app causes the created date to change to the import data. This is a bug we are working on a fix for.
If you import the track through gaiagps.com by following these steps the original date of the track should be maintained:This is a bit more technical but you can manually adjust the dates for a track by following these steps:
- Export a .gpx of the track: Export Data as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON from gaiagps.com
- Open the .gpx file in a basic text editor. Personally, I use Sublime Text.
- Then do a find and replace of the old date with the new date.
- Be sure to run a Replace All
- Save the updates
- import the file directly to gaiagps.com to see the correct date.
It will look something like this:
Lastly, to answer your question: is there a way to move a track out of a folder without moving it into another folder?
Yes, you can move a track to the /home directory instead of into another folder. Here's how:
