Export route - contains too may gps / track points
AnsweredI just tried a simple track of about 40 miles and exported it in GPX format. Imported this in tomtom'd MyDrive and saw that there are about 500 waypoints. I haven't tried to import it yet on my Tomtom nav aid, but if I plan a route of say 2000 miles would that go to 300000 waypoints and so become too large for the navaid too handle?

Hey @Robcordes,
You can use a third-party app software program such as GPS Babel to simplify and reduce the number of waypoints before importing the file into TomTom MyDrive
Here is how to filter a file down using GPS Babel. You can set it up like this, clicking "Filters" to access the window on the right.
This will reduce the number of waypoints that MyDrive sees as defining the route. However, the route with fewer route-points will be less accurate and will not reflect the curves of the snap-to-trail feature in Gaia GPS.
