USFS Recreation Sites
AnsweredOn a recent drive in the Kootenai Nation Forest, Montana, I discovered that a fire lookout/rental cabin was incorrectly mapped. On the Gaiagps - USFS Recreation Sites layer, Webb Mountain Lookout is mapped at 48.84583 -115.35833. This is the location given on the USFS web page for the lookout, so they have it wrong. The actual location is 48.81798 -115.34385, about 2-miles to the south.
Noticed another error also a USFS problem; Little Therriault Lake, a campground and lake access I've stayed at, is mapped at 48.943439 -115.889317. The actual location is 48.94327 -114.88919, about 45.4 miles to the east.

Hi there,
Thanks for using Gaia GPS.
Gaia Topo, as well as several other sources in the app, are based on OpenStreetMap data, an Open-source and public mapping project.
You can actually contribute to OSM in order to add trails and features to the map. Read more about this and find instructions here: Contribute to OpenStreetMap
If you decide to contribute any updates to OpenStreetMap, you'll see the changes in Gaia GPS in two to three weeks.
