NOAA Smoke (surface) and Smoke (sky) layers
CompletedWould it be possible to add layers from NOAA for smoke coverage? These could be enabled in addition to the current wildfire layers to view the impact.
An example of how it may look would be similar to https://fire.airnow.gov/

I can see how the NOAA Smoke layer would be really useful. I've added this to our internal map source request list.
We are not able to add all map sources due to licensing and technical restrictions, but we will look into the possibility of adding it.
In the meantime, you can import some maps yourself. This article gives instructions for the different ways to import custom map sources:

Just a quick update to let you know that we recently added Smoke Forecast overlays using data from the NOAA High Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) weather model.
The Smoke Forecast overlays are available in the Map Catalog under Feature/Weather Overlays. You can also preview these overlays at gaiagps.com using the following links:
