Why are "Tracks" not visible for other users?

Despite:
“Public Sharing” is toggled on for Tracks,
“Public” is toggled on for Waypoints,
“Public" is toggled on for Folders and
“Public" is toggled on for Photos,
other users can't see any of the above, not even my user name?
Why should I use GaiaGPS over Garmin, Strava or others where sharing is possible?
If no one else is able to see my hikes, without me cumbersome sharing gpx files, this GaiaGPS doesn't make any sense - please explain or help.
